I'm posting the error log showing the failure. The server is a workgroup server at prensent and hasn't joined my main domain yet.
The VC++ runtime I did install manually which worked, rebooted and ran the agent installer again at which point stop at the same point as it did before.
I followed instructions from article 80785 to the letter, which shows exactly what is occurring on my Win2008r2 64 Entp server running the installer locally and not pushed which fails at the same point.
